The Beyhive Lyric Controversy

Mrs Carter, a.k.a Beyonce Knowles, a.k.a Bey, a.k.a whatever else she is called these days has released a preview of two of her new tracks "Bow Down"/"I Been On" that are sparking controversy and divided reactions from her fans. The lyrics include statements like,
"I know when you were little girls,
you dreamt of being in my world,
Dont forget it, dont forget it
Respect that, bow down bitches
I took sometime to live my life
But dont think am just his little wife
Dont get it twisted, get it twisted
This is my shit, bow down bitches"

And the track is accompanied with a photo of her as a child standing in a room full of trophies.

Mmm, all i can say is that i honestly do not understand the controversy. Any one offended by the lyrics is obviously intimidated by Beyonce and is the "bitch" she is singing about(shrugs). To me, its just a song with egocentric lyrics-nothing new. To all those intimidated, remember she is only human. If her world was so great, she would be the Queen(not just calling herself that, but like the actual Queen of England). She would be the Pope and Michelle Obama- all these and more at the same time. But she is just Beyonce, so let her sing. I personally like the song and the beat is off the chain!
