60 years ago, on 2nd June 1953 to be precise, the then 26 year old Queen Elizabeth was crowned Queen of England! I join the rest of England to congratulate Queen Elizabeth on her coronation celebrations 6 decades on in the Royal business and wish her a prosperous and blessed continued reign!

The Beyhive Lyric Controversy

Mrs Carter, a.k.a Beyonce Knowles, a.k.a Bey, a.k.a whatever else she is called these days has released a preview of two of her new tracks "Bow Down"/"I Been On" that are sparking controversy and divided reactions from her fans. The lyrics include statements like,
"I know when you were little girls,
you dreamt of being in my world,
Dont forget it, dont forget it
Respect that, bow down bitches
I took sometime to live my life
But dont think am just his little wife
Dont get it twisted, get it twisted

Mmm, all i can say is that i honestly do not understand the controversy. Any one offended by the lyrics is obviously intimidated by Beyonce and is the "bitch" she is singing about(shrugs). To me, its just a song with egocentric lyrics-nothing new. To all those intimidated, remember she is only human. If her world was so great, she would be the Queen(not just calling herself that, but like the actual Queen of England). She would be the Pope and Michelle Obama- all these and more at the same time. But she is just Beyonce, so let her sing. I personally like the song and the beat is off the chain! S.A? CRIME?!? NOOO!!!

Police Brutality

 Well that is meant to be sarcastic(for those who didnt get it) but crime in S.A is so overwhelming of late its not even funny!(its never funny). From the socalled "Blade Runner" Pistorious gunning down and murdering his girlfriend Reeva(a qualified lawyer and model might i add), to a seven year old boy stabbing his 11 year old "friend" in the neck,to death! Then not long after, another school girl was stubbed to death by schoolmates that apparently belong to a sattanic cult. In this same period, a man is shot dead outside the magistrates court in Cape town while a passanger shoots dead a taxi driver in Joburg, and flees. Just yesterday, a man in KZN(Durban) was arrested for raping his 13th year old daughter(Like seriously???) while another was stonned to death as he chased after a man that had grabbed and stole his cell phone! As though it couldnt get worse, a taxi driver dies at the brutality of the police(the crime fighters supposed to protect the people,how ironical) after dragging him through the streets curffed at the back of the police van in broad-day light on a busy steet! I know,unbelievable!!! After the Marikana inscident??? And nothing is being done!!! And then President Zuma comes out to comment on this overwhelming state of crime in S.A and says "Our Country is Safe and Stable!". Who are you kidding??? Denial wont help anything. The 1st step to recovery and curbing the situation is to acknowledge and accept the absurdity of it! Action is needed and it couldnt be faster Mr.President!

 Shawn and Sibusizo Mpisane, Durban's controversial business couple, were arrested on allegations of fraud in assets of worth R140 million, according to the NPA search. Married in community of property to her husband, their company Zikhulise received R50million in November 2009 weeks before they hosted the years glitz and glamor party! They went ahead to amaze the community by splurging about R1-million on birthday and wedding celebrations in a single weekend. Shawn presented her husband with a white R1.8-million Maserati Cantabrigian at his 40th birthday party at their La Lucia home. Since December, they have received a series of electronic payments amounting to about R219 million from the eThekwini Municipality but just three weeks after receiving another R30 million, the Mpisanes halted the construction of the RDP housing projects in Umlazi because they did not have money to continue, apparently.  However, they own luxury cars valued at around R22 million that include a Rolls-Royce Phantom, a Rolls-Royce Ghost, a Maserati, a Ferrari Scarlatti, a Porsche Cayenne Turbo and a Panamera Turbo, two armored BMW 5 Series, two Hummers  and a Lamborghini and Four fixed properties – including Mpisane's home – valued at about R25-million.
